The holy book ‘The Gita‘ says, whenever there will be excess of evil Lord will rebirth to wipe out the evil from the face of the earth. I do not Know if the theory of incarnations  even exist. and I have never seen such godly act of wiping out the evil from the face of earth even though we see excesses being done everywhere.

India Celebrates Dussehra

Today India is celebrating Dussehra which basically symbolises “Win of goodness over evil“.  This day Goddess Durga (symbolising women power) hunts down demon Mahishasura.  This day Lord Rama killed the proud King Ravan.  Let me share with you Why it was Goddess Durga who had to Kill demon Mahishasura despite the presence of the almighty Trimurtis. In fact upon hard meditation and prayers the demon mahishasura gets a boon from God Brahma (The creator) that no Man can kill him. Now with this power his atrocities grows day by day to such an extent that his excesses continues over the women. Finally, It comes to the Adi Shakti to end the excesses of the demon. She symbolises the women power. What No man could Do, It was upto the ultimate Source of Power theAdi Shakti, Goddess Durga to put an end to Mahishasura. Also if you happen to see Ramayana (video as under), Ultimately SitaWife of Lord Rama & One of the form of Adi Shakti was the cause of the death of the Ravana.

Modern day Durga ?

The Excesses s against women, corruption, and many un social evils are prospering day by day, unabetting . Having said that,I must say, I’m no atheist but simply waiting for some super power to wipe out evil is neither acceptable nor feasible.  What I see is a girl from Pakistan, Malala, who raises her voice for the education which is the basic right of every individual and more so for the girl child. This girl has not even crossed primes of her age and is already a force to reckon with. I see the Goddess Durga  in her, fighting against the evil/ demon of illiteracy.

What this day symbolises is “win of good over evil” …….. excuse me …I DO NOT see any good ness around or if it’s even present in people like Malala or people like Anna, I do not see any WIN. DO YOU?  We must make an introspection, Why there is darn NO WIN?  Let me help you with a story which every one of us must have heard in our childhood.

Story

Once upon  a time there was an Old man.  He had four sons. One night, he had a dream that he was going to die. Next morning he called for all his sons. He gave each of them a piece of stick and asked them to break it. Each one of them broke it easily. Then he gave each of them four such sticks tied together and asked them to break. None of them could break it.

Moral of the Story

Before I say further, Let me ask you, if you saw the video I posted above. This video is a Ramlila play which depicts How Sita is tortured by Ravan and how Ram kills Ravan and eventually people celebrate. That all happened in past where we had one ravana one mahishasura fighting. But in the modern day the evil or the demon is multifaceted  It has taken the forms of corruption the forms of illiteracy, the forms of crime against the girl child, crime against women and many many many more. It seems the lesson what we needed to take from the story has been put on our face by the evil.  They have become united in their effort to spread anarchy across the globe.

Here I must ask you to rewind the video to the point where the protagonist of the movie Shah Rukh Khan sings few line Impressing the need to fight the modern day Evil.  I will put that particular clip for you here.

“Ram hi to Karuna me hai Shanti me Ram hai”
“Ram hi hai Ekta me Pragati me Ram hai”
“Ram bas bhakton nahi Shatru ki bhi chintan me hai”
“Dekh taj ke paap Ravan Ram tere Man me hai..Ram Mere Man me hai”
“Ram to ghar ghar me hai, Ram har aangan me hai”
“Man se Ravan Jo nikale Ram uske Man me hai”

Ram is in Peace, Unity, Progress, not only in followers’ mind but also in enemy’s mind.  O’ Ravan If you let go all the evil you will find Ram in you, Ram is in every home, everywhere.  Ram is in anybody’s who shuns evil from his/her mind. This is the rough message which this line presents.

let me come back to the point.  Single Malala or single Anna or Single Arvind can’t break the shackles. We ought to support them in the endeavours. Then only we can expect to WIN.

One such effort, I have seen in Lena Shareef’s Blog post #GIRL WITH THE BOOK, where she has become a media in support for Malala Yousafzai.  Let us begin with support to this young child in her crusades by supporting Lena in her endeavours.

***If you want to join the #GIRLWITHABOOK movement, please submit a picture of yourself with a book to girlwithabookmovement@gmail.com. Make sure to include the title of the book and the city, state, country that you took your picture****

Feel free to post on our Facebook page or tweet at us @_girlwithabook as well. We invite submissions from girls, boys, men and women, because a cause like this needs support from everyone.

Let us say No to Bribe

Let us say No to Illiteracy

Let us Wholeheartedly say YES to a Girl Child 🙂

Book Review: The Krishna Key by Ashwin Sanghi

Book:  The Krishna Key

Author: Ashwin Sanghi (alias Shawn Haigins)

Having read Ashwin Sanghi’s Chanakya’s Chants it was delightful to receive the book from BlogAdda . His first book The Rozabal Line  is the theological thriller based on the theory that Jesus died in Kashmir and was on National Best seller Lists for many months. His second book Chanakya’s Chants  is a political thriller and is still on the Bestseller lists.

Given the background we have for Ashwin in the genre of historical fiction, it was sure delight to have this book.  The Krishna Key (TKK) is based on a mythical thriller.

His writing style in TKK reminds a lot of Dan Browns series of novels The Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress  and others. Besides his penchant for anagrams  is similar to Dan’s.

No doubt Ashwin has poured in every bit of research he had, in the book but the good thing is that, it has never slowed down the pace of the story and has so far succeeded in riveting readers’ attention (Except for those snippets from The Mahabharata in the beginning of every chapter)

The Story is a parallel between the Lord Krishna  and the modern day drama. Lord Krishna,  as many believe could be a mythical figure or a man in flesh & blood who walked on the earth som 5000 years ago. It’s another topic of debate. Krishna  is believed to be the eight  incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the final and the Tenth Incarnation  in Kaliyuga would be The KALKI Avataar.

Story begins When the Self supposed 10th Avataar of Lord Vishnu, Kalki starts eliminating the supposed evils and a professor and his doctoral protegé gets in his way. Thereafter the quest for The Krishna Key Begins. The suspense behind the Krishna key and What hides behind those mythical Keys? brings in lots of Twists & Turns and Suspense & research in the story. A tale of treasure hunt with murders, suspects, mata ji,  underworld Don, History proff, Nuclear Assignments, genetic Research and What nots.

The Book brings in an interesting perspective of Vedic Civilization comparing it with those in the days of Mahabharata and how it would have advanced during these 5000 years. History has always been written by Winners. This books, a product of ingenious research, will definitely interest readers. Some of the Points I liked:

  • Nuclear scientist have found traces of radioactive material at every places where there is Sivalinga established. According to some, Siva linga at these places are actually radioactive and that’s why they are covered with bel  leaves, cause those leaves have ability to absorb radioactive emissions. And that is the precise reason that water out of shivalinga is termed impure  and that’s another reason  a kalash constantly sprinkles water over shivalinga to keep it cool.
  • Also, Satellite picture show that the mythical river Sarasvati actually existed, and the Indus valley civilization actually flourished around this river. And when the river Sarasvati starting to dry up around Mahabharata, People started to shift east ward and west ward.
  • if you recall how does a SWASTIK  sign actually look like, Actually  the straightened lines have become over the years. According to vedas the swastik sign is actually a graphic representation of equation X^ 4- Y^4 =XY.    Well if you compare this is what the equation looks like. Those four curves coming out from the centre actually represents the four rivers coming out of Mount kailash
  • Now this brings me to the another interesting hypothecation. Mount kailash, abode of Lord Shiva is actually a man made Pyramid. Russian researching on Mount kailash found that the angle at which stones are cut in mount kailash are exactly at 108 degree  and we Know degree 108 is of lots importance in vedic literatures.
  • Lord Budhaa was the supposedly 9th avataar of Vishnu

There are lots of trivia like this and few of them which I googled, I was surprised it to be true.

The search for the Mythical treasure starts with Kalibagan, the archeological site, journeys through The Dwarka, The Somnath Temple, The Vrindavan Temple and finally ends at Tejo Mahalaya (or Taj Mahal).

Well, The Book ends with  a message…

The Philosopher is more important than the stone !

Much Ado about Nothing!

In Crazy, Life, News, Politics, Religion and Spirituality, Story on May 6, 2011 at 9:41 pm

Since the covert operation by US élite commandos in Pakistan’s Abbottabad, much is being said about similar type of operation by Indian troops. On this side of border, yoga guru, who seems keen to get into politics ASAP by hogging the limelight, and many others are raising demands for a similar action against 26/11 terror suspects . While on the other side Pakistani Army chief has taken the baton. So called saviours of Hinduism and Islam. eff them!

If you see the fact, this is nothing else but plain politics. Not a single man from the either side of the border has wanted war, save for the war mongering Pakistani Army and blood thirsty politicians from the either side.

It seems logical from the Pakistan perspective that, given such situation prevailing there, anything sort of enhanced border activity against India shall be sufficient for general Pakistani public to turn a blind eye from the follies of their army and crave for some Indian bashing. While in India, it’s an easy way to hog limelight by criticizing people in power about their cowardice to act in similar way against the persons responsible for heinous crimes on Indian soil. For, if you put these people crying for justice for Indians at the helm of affairs,  they shall do the same. So what’s the problem?

It’s never the same when on one side it’s Uncle sam and on the other any given government of the world. Uncle Sam has always this theory of being the policemen of the world. What I feel, save for 9/11, the crimes against US are nothing more than their own past haunting them now.

A story from Indian Mythology

Once upon a time, there was a demon named Bhasmasur. He prayed for some thousand of years to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is supposed to be very innocent God, easily pleased with anyone (good or evil)  who worships him with all devotion. Hence most of the demons used to worship him for Aashirvaads (blessings). Lord Shiva was pleased with this demon, Bhasmasur for he had prayed for him sincerely and with all devotion. He appeared before him and asked him to Ask for any Gift. Bhasmasur thought for a while and said, ” Lord if you want to bless me, then Bless me a power that if ever I keep my hand on any body’s head, He would turn to ashes.” Lord Shiva said, “Tathasthu” (So be it.) Bhasmasur was pleased, but he wanted to test the blessings. He turned towards Lord Shiva himself to test his blessings. Lord Shiva understood the intentions of crafty demon, he ran. Bhasmashur ran after him. After a while Lord Shiva reached to Lord Vishnu and appraised him of all that happened. Vishnu smiled and assured Lord Shiva that he would handle it. Lord Vishnu changed himself into a beautiful lady (called mohini) and started dancing in front of Bhasmasur. Bhasmasur, a fool hardy demon started dancing with mohini. While dancing Mohini kept her hand over her head, Bhasmasur followed the step and died of his own blessings. His blessings turned curse for himself.

Well, the US is Lord Shiva here and the demon bhasmasur  or al quida/taliban (whatever you call it) is the creation of US itself. Now that demon has turned against himself. A demon that US created years ago. There is no escape from it.

As of today, US politicians are saying there is no comparison between 9/11 and 26/11. WTH! Citizens of both the countries died in the attack from people outside their countries. Numbers should not matter, I guess. If it’s, then US is a Major Criminal for what they have done in Iraq, Afghanistan and many other places across the world, where their troops have killed millions of innocent people. Some time on the pretext of Mass Destruction weapons or sometime on the pretext of freedom and democracy.

Anyway, What I am saying is that Indian govt is not so fool hardy to get into such matter of unnecessary importance. So listen Uncle Sam, We don’t give a shit what you think about parallels of 9/11 & 26/11. We have  business of importance other than war mongering and invading freedom of other countries.  For people like, Baba Ramdev and Army Chief kayani better be shut up and mind their own business. People of India and Pakistan want to live in peace and earn their bread. Don’t try to misinterpret their silence. For Indians shall teach you a lesson in  next general elections and Pakistani shall not let you be capable of staging any coup further. Let your war mongering mouths be shut.

Let there be Peace…

aman ki asha

Peace

Anyway, people have short memory they shall forget this stuff by next week. By that time every body will be glued to their television sets for IPL. And above all I’m shit tired of all this obl hash tags (#obl) on twitter and war mongering statements in press and media.

Recently I saw a documentary called Ancient Aliens.

It left me dumbstruck for few moments , cause the explanations (though hypothetical) given in favor of the theory sounds good and logical. The video here is the first episode of the five series. And I am sure it brings forth another aspect of entire history before us.

The documentary is based on Erick Von Daniken’s  book “Chariots of the God? “. It brings forth a theory that in ancient times, aliens used to visit earth and they had been in touch with earthlings. His interpretations of some of the epics like Old Testament, The Mahabharata, The Ramayana , Book of Epoch  and several others shed light on his theory. The descriptions like the arrival of so-called god on some Vehicular like thing added with sound effects and smoke gives an indication of a rocket. Also the god depicted in several paintings around the world show similar structure. Their depiction of god with some halo adorn with horns looks familiar if we compare them with present day astronauts wearing helmet and antennae.

Also some amazing facts like drawings in ancient city of Nazca, ancient maps showing exact boundaries of Antarctica and several others are definitely calling for better explanations from archeologists.

Amazingly I searched for the book and luckily I got an e-Copy. Some links which I found useful:

The article in Sufia’s eye view gives a very vivid picture of the life and traditions of Parsi community in Pakistan.  Right from un-divided India, Parsi community have contributed a lot in the development of both the nations. Their contribution to Independent India & Pakistan is undoubtedly great. Mumbai in India and Karachi in Pakistan owe a lot to Parsi community, their customs and their strong will power to create money.  Sufia’s article gives you a sneak peek of the customs and traditions of Parsi community, especially their belief in after death. A great article. I recommend you read —
